Bobo M is notable for having foretold the downfall of Print Media/Physical sales and predicated the future of online and digital media in 2015 that led him to shut down and discontinue Kas’lam Magazine print production on that same year.

Bobo M has also worked and consulted on different projects with Multichoice, Idols SA, Universal Music Group, SABC, South African Music Awards, Ambitious Entertainment, Media Maniax, Black Brain Pictures, as well as several other major role players.

In 2018, Bobo M assumed the roles of e-Commerce Manager and Digital Marketing Director for Cameraland Sandton (Premium Provider of Quality Photographic Equipment) and ManMeister (Africa’s largest online gift shop for men) and is also the SEO Specialist.

He has since continued to change the way people view both the Digital Marketing and Digital Media Industry.

The Full Story

Bobo was born in 1989 in Tsakane, East of Johannesburg and is the older brother of Tumelo “T-Rapz” Rapodile (Co-founder and Digital manager for Kas’lam Media) who is an IT graduate and fitness instructor.

Mr Mhlanga is a remarkable individual with an I.T Background, vast experience in Digital Marketing, business start-ups and is a self-taught graphic designer. He has appeared on several radio stations, Newspapers and TV programs including “Selimathunzi”, “Top Billing”, “African Reporter” “Yfm” and “SA fm” amongst others.  

Between 2007 and 2011, Bobo M delved into several businesses which included a T-shirt design and Printing venture, I.T support, Graphic Design and Marketing respectively.

In 2009 He completed his I.T and Computer Science studies at Ekurhuleni East College, and in 2010 he completed his online Diploma in Multimedia Designs and Digital Marketing at Alison. During that period, he was General Manager for Soekie’s Pub and as well as Managing Director for Soekie’s Communications.

In 2017 he was Google Digital Skills Certified, and the following year he Completed his Facebook Blue Print Digital Marketing Certificate.

In the year 2011, Bobo created and launched what he believed to be SA’s future leading Entertainment and lifestyle platform which has since proven to be ground-breaking and produced intriguing exclusive content. He has since taken Kas’lam from nothing to a Highly successful and valuable brand that has secured deals with companies such as bricks manufacturing giant and JSE trading company “Brikor”, McDonald’s, Mazda SA, Bogart Man, and Air Mauritius amongst others.

Known to friends as “Bobo M the future”, he truly embodies what South Africa’s future holds. His ultimate goal in to see the African Entertainment industry on a level that will compete on the world scale with the Americans and the Europeans, be it music or film production. 

Bobo is also the presenter of a business empowerment show “Level Up” on Kas’lam Online TV which aims to inspire entrepreneurship in Africa.  His plans are to create a multi-service digital empire that will give birth to multiple publications and other digital business opportunities within the next 10 years.
