It was a joyous festive as legendary Musician Joe Nina tied the knot with his beautiful wife. The two have been dating for a long while and kept it private until last year @ the South African Music Awards in Sun City where they both rocked up on the red carpet (as reported by Kas’lam Magazine in 2018) and had Mzansi wondering who she is and if they are married or not. The 3-day ceremony began on Friday as they sealed the deal and officially became Mr and Mrs Xaba in front of God in church.
Joe Nina whose real name is Makhosini Xaba had very little to say but expressed his love and devotion to his darling wife who he loves so deeply.
The event was packed to capacity and had all sorts of dignitaries including Legendary musicians and actors such as HotStix Mabuse, Steve Kekana, Babsi Mlangeni and more.
“I used to listen and dance to his song when I was young … Little did I know that one day I’ll be married to one of my favourite musicians of all time. I remember watching his interview on TV with my mom and he told Linda Sibiya that he will never get married, but here we are lol. I truly think this is God’s doing and I thank him for that. Says wife – Nhlanhla Tshabalala.”
Nhlanhla Zwane (best friend to Nhlanhla Tshabalala) noted that “Nhlanhla, Delphine and I have been through it all, people usually call us the Destiny’s Child because we are always together … We’ve been there since the beginning, even when Makhosini was still asking our friend out. I have no doubt of their love and anyone can vividly see how much they adore each other, even when they look at each other one can tell how deep their love goes.”
“Angiboni, but Joe my friend ukwazile ukukhetha
Lana… Umuntu wakho muhle, said Babsy Mlangeni.
Steve kekana… “all I can say is that treat each other well. Do not take marriage for granted and respect each other at all times”.
Hotstix Mabuse “in showbiz there’s what you call an opening act and a closing act… I guess I’m the closing act. Killer Joe is what I call Joe Nina. I received a call from him telling me that he wants to get married and I asked “kwenzejani Joe”, but now I can say Joe you chose well… You have a beautiful wife. one thing I’ll ask from you Nhlanhla is that you need to understand that Joe is a talented musician and being married to a musician isn’t easy… And please don’t try and change him or request that he go find an ordinary job… Music is who he is.”
Joe Nina closed off the ceremony with a beautiful performance of a song he wrote for his wife Nhlanhla Tshabalala.
