Taking Music creation to the next Level with AI
As Riky Rick passed on, a wave of Artificial Intelligence ushered new and creative ways of music creation and development. According to Big Time Musicians, AI music is an emergent technology that uses artificial intelligence algorithms to generate and compose musical pieces. AI music works by taking inputs such as a desired emotion or certain musical elements and using these to create unique melodies, harmonies, rhythms, and even entire songs.
The world-famous DJ and Music producer David Guetta used artificial intelligence software to replicate Eminem’s vocals during a performance and left the world in awe. He used ChatGPT and uberduck.ai to create the deepfake Eminem rap vocal for his DJ set.
Similar to this, Riky Rick’s family and team employed the same tactics to create and release his latest song titled Stronger. Using AI and Riky’s own words taken from his social media posts, they managed to replicate his authentic sound and voice to create a beautiful song. The Riky Rick Stronger single was put together by his long-time collaborators Ganja Beatz, Audio Militia, and Lebo Machudi. The song was released in support of mental health wellbeing, and to raise funds to support mental well-being including individuals and organizations responsible for promoting mental health awareness.
“When hip hop icon Riky Rick lost his battle with mental illness we didn’t just lose a massive musical talent, but also a source of positive energy, a person whose words uplifted everyone around him. To honour his legacy of positivity and promote mental well-being we brought Riky’s voice back to life using his social media posts to create a track called “Stronger”. #RikyRickStronger”- The Foundation wrote.
