Panda Records has officially announced & launched the signing of Dot a.k.a Nomcebo Mthethwa. The label that seems to have come from nowhere, has added yet another sensation Nomcebo Mthethwa affectionately known as Dot to their list of Artists. Panda Records seem to be following a similar trend that saw the rise and success of Ambitiouz Ent.
We’re talking about an independent record label that no one knew anything about and seems to have the eye and ear for potential Superstars. Just like Ambitiouz Ent did when they came up in the game, they seem to have the right team & MONEY to back up their ear for up-coming Artists potentially to build them up to Superstars.
Panda records have enlisted names like DJ Yemite, Demmie Vee, The Set and now Dot herself. The house music queen who sprung to fame with her debut gqom single Amadlozi, is now dubbed the 1st lady of Panda after signing with the label on the 22nd of July. Dot is also a TV Presenter having joined TRACE TV as a presenter on HOUSE OF TRACE.
Dot first jumped on the radar with her debut Gqom single Amadlozi. The track is an interesting twist of the Gqom sound which includes long synth notes which gives it a mellow dance character. Shye followed that up with another heat track titled Volcano. Volcano is a fun a vibrant track with lyrics that seem to be slapped together on the fly.
The South African Entertainment Industry should look out for Panda Records & Dot!
