DJ Nascent is Music Producer, Artist, Club DJ, photographer and Record Lebel Owner all the way from Rotterdam in Limpopo. The self-taught music producer and a DJ is hugely passionate about creating music. He fell in love with music production and started creating House music back in 2007 with his brothers (Bee Zee Bee & N Squared), He’s a DJ who understands what to bring out in a song and in a set to actually rock a crowd.
Real names Nkosinathi. A. Baloyi, DJ Nascent believes in always expanding your skill-set and doing more with your abilities. Not only is he about the work ethic, but he believes in ownership as well. He owns all his music as well as his photographic work under the label Khalanga Records, which he started with his brothers. He takes pride in black ownership and even more proud in keeping it in the family
He has a formidable music catalog under his name, since the release of his first project back in 2012. His catalog includes hits such as Gambu Gambu which was nominated for the Best Xitsonga House song at the Xitsonga Music Awards 12, back in 2014 on Munghana Lonene FM. Nascent KR released his first compilation album Nascent Project One (Khale Ka Kokwani) back in 2012 and on his 2nd compilation album The Colourful Sounds Of Legends back in 2014.
His sound is comprised of Afro, Deep and Soulful House songs having worked with a number of DJs as well talented vocalists in the game. He has also dropped a few hits in 2020, currently working on releasing a new full length project. The project will be released under Khalanga Records, working with Khalanga Tribe, Bee Zee Bee, N Squared, Karlos Craig, T Rose, DJ Press, Kenny Baloyi, DJ Animal and Cade The DJ.
