Singer / Songwriter Ray T is ready to pick up where the likes of Bucie left off. Her sensual vocals from her latest single Give Me That will leave you craving more from her. The song feature Dj Vitoto, who has collaborated with the vocalist a number of times before.
The Singer says Give Me That is inspired by a personal experience and is sure to resonate with her audience. Having worked with DJ Vitoto on a number of projects, it is no wonder that Ray T chose this talented producer. Although the lyrics will have you nostalgic and within your feels, the house beat and delivery on vocals will have you on your feet!
The Tembisa born Singer first caught the attention of the masses with her debut single High in Love, which was released back in 2016. She quickly followed that with her debut album INTRO, which she says was a great learning experience and a whole lot of work and dedication was put to make that album happen.
‘‘My journey through music has not been easy at all, it has been very challenging. I never gave up because I knew what I wanted and that was to be a singer, so my willpower and hunger to succeed never let me throw in the towel’’ – Says Ray T. Although she’s not ready to deliver another full-length album yet, she has been working with a lot of DJ’s and collaborations which most are yet to be released.
Deeply influenced by Monique Bingham as well as the likes of Bucie, Ray T learned that the art of crafting a great House song is to pair with a talented producer and DJ. She has since worked with a number of DJs including Lebza the villain (a popular Yfm DJ), Dj AJ ,Afrikan roots, Dj Micks from kalawa ,records and DJ Shimza, DJ Khathu and DJ Vitoto .
As usual we had Kas’lam TV’s very own T. Rapz catch up with Ray T on IG live, to talk about what has been an incredibly beautiful & inspiring journey so far. During the interview, the Talented singer mentioned that she’s currently working on the music video for Give me That. She’s also working on a collaboration EP with producer Siz, creating a fusion of new sounds she calls Lady Deep. Ray T & Siz already have a single out titled Better.
